We understand that this is a difficult time for you and your family; therefore, we would like to provide you with a snapshot of our pricing structure for services not covered by insurance or when you choose not to use your insurance. We strive to keep our prices within reason while continuing to provide outstanding service. Here is what you can anticipate if you determine it best for your family not to use insurance or if a portion of your requested assessment is not covered by insurance.

• 50% Payment for assessments/testing is expected at the first assessment/testing appointment. We collect the final payment when the report is complete.

• All assessments include the following:

1. An intake session with parents/guardians (approximately 1 hour)

2. Testing sessions 

3. A feedback session with parents/guardians to review written results, discuss recommendations, and provide specific resources. (approximately 1 hour).

A few items to note:

• Your insurance company will tell you, “A quote for benefits does not guarantee payment.” This means that you can be told over the phone that something is covered and be given an authorization number. However, there are instances when this is not actually the case.

• You should also be aware that some insurance companies have a preapproval process in which the staff of an insurance company grants permission for each and every individual test that we believe we need to complete a comprehensive assessment, prior to actually starting the testing sessions. We tailor our assessments to your child and the referral questions, so we frequently change our test battery after we start working with, and getting to know, your child rather than administering the same tests to each client. This individualized approach does not fit with the insurance preapproval process, as the expectation is that the test battery will be consistent with what we initially asked for.

• There are times with the preapproval process when an insurance company does not approve neurodevelopmental and/or psychoeducational assessments. In those instances, you have the option to pay out of pocket if you desire in order to move forward with the assessment process for your child.

The following are a list of possible out of pocket costs for assessments. Please keep in mind that this pricing is an estimate and may be different (more or less), based on your child’s needs.

NEURODEVELOPMENTAL ASSESSMENT FOR AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER (ASD) OR GLOBAL DEVELOPMENTAL DELAY

• Assessments typically include comprehensive cognitive testing, assessment of adaptive/daily living skills, social emotional functioning to include specific ASD measures (i.e., ADOS-2, CARS-2), evaluation of  academic/pre-academic skills (when appropriate), executive functioning (when appropriate) and play observation (when appropriate).

• Comprehensive written report, including diagnosis and recommendations

Ages 5 years and older – Intake-$200, Evaluation- $2200, Feedback- $200 = Total of $2600

ADHD ASSESSMENT – 

• Comprehensive intelligence testing- includes working memory and processing speed

• Brief achievement testing

• Computerized continuous performance test

• Measures of executive functioning

• Behavior rating scales

• Comprehensive written report, including diagnosis and recommendations

  • Intake-$200

  • Assessment- $2200

  • Feedback- $200 = Total of 2,600
